Hola. este tema se llama "tomguettis o jupitito". esta vez ha quedado bastante audible.
Lo grabamos en los estudios de Neil Young en San Francisco. Aún llevamos el ciego del jet-lag y de los tripis, pero aún nos quedan fuerzas para escribiros esta reseña.
Señalar que próximamente vamos a grabar un videoclip con la pasta que saquemos de vosotros: me llamáis y os doy mi número de cuenta de caixa catalunya o también mediante el paypal (
paypal.com/tirsotl): Pensad que con un video clip de mediano presupuesto, arrasaremos en los charts, y dependiendo de la cantidad que donéis, vuestro nombre aparecerá con un cuerpo de letra acorde a la cantidad ofrecida.
En cuanto al tema, lo distribuimos también como single: tenéis que descargar el archivo desde myspace y grabarlo en un pen o cd; en caso de ser cd, que sea blanco, y escribíis vosotros mismos, con letra gotica las vocales y times las consonantes de "dúo caphre" y "tomguettis o jupitito" y "2009".
La temática de la canción gira entorno al intento de plasmar la idea de las vivencias que tuvimos en vidas pasadas cuando podíamos viajar por otros países con absoluta libertad. Es una profunda crítica a Star Wars y en general, al mundo globalizado.
El tema se inicia con una intro grabada con hammond b4 digital y un absynth también digital, luego encadena con otro instrumento digital que grabó Rruben y acaba la intro con un par de samples, uno de david bowie "sweet thing" acompañada de un pedazo de un tema llamado "rosensfole" creo, que de un disco de música tradicional de noruega.
Luego entra el tema propiamente dicho: la letra gira entorno a la reflexión de los precios de las hortalizas y verduras en el mercado de Sant Antoni: Las verdes suelen ser más caras mientras que las rojas y amarillas se venden a un precio más moderado. Como somos ecologistas y para hacer vientre va muy bien la verdura de color verde, estamos en contra de que sea tan cara, y aquí lo reflejamos.
Siguiendo con el análisis morfológico de la pieza, decir que el corpus del tema se basa en una improvisación: Las percusiones locas que entran de vez en cuando están pilladas de un disco del pintor Jean Dubuffet que me bajé en formato flac, de ahí que de vez en cuando yo diga cantando "flac", a modo de homenaje a la extensión del tipo de archivo.
La canción tiene este título porque no nos pusimos deacuerdo, ya que Rruben dijo "jupitito" y al mismo tiempo yo pronuncié "tomguettis":
las dos ideas eran tan buenas que decidimos mantenerlas: os puedo dar una pincelada de porque yo la llamé tomguettis: es un juego de palabras que viene a cuento de la idea de hacer un homenaje sincero a la voz de tom waits, pero de una forma singular, así que mientras interpretaba el tema, me imaginaba que yo era el mismo tom mientras comía spaguettis a la carbonara.

After that, and about our song's theme, to say that we wanted to give expression to ourselves' experiences in past life when it was easy to travel from one country to another with absolute freedom. This is a deep but sarcastic critic to Star Wars and in general, to the world's globalization.
The songs starts with an introduction that i recorded with my unregistered native instrument hammond b4 and an absynth synthetiser aswell that links with a synth played by Rruven and ends with a couple of samples, one is from a david bowie's track "sweet thing" and from "rosensfole", a track taken from a traditional norwigian music cd, i guess.
After that, strictly speaking, it starts the theme: Lyrics of the song is about a deep reflection of the prices of vegetables at Sant Antoni market: Green color ones ussually are more expensive than red and yellow ones. We manifest our discontent upon difference of prices between colors, because we Dúo Caphre are ecologist and because green vegetables are good for an easy defecation.
Following with the morphologic analysis of the piece, to say that the corpus of the theme is based on an spanish and electric guitar with voices improvisation. Those crazy percussions you listen are taken from a torrent i downloaded in "flac." file by the painter and musician Jean Dubuffet. That's why sometimes you can hear me saying and singing the word "flac", paying a tribute to that kind of file extension.
The title of the song has two possibilities: you can call it "tomguettis" or "jupitito". Rruben choose "jupitito" --I don,t really know what that word means- and by the other hand, it came into my mind the word "tomguettis". I can talk about the concept I created: Is a play on words: I really wanted to pay a new tribute to the expressivity on tom waits's voice but this time I decided to perform that track having in my mind that I was Tom Waits eating an spaguetti à la carbonara. Do you get it, isn.t?
